Pirates and Babies

This weekend was full of entertainment. Our friend Josh discovered that there is a restaurant in Utah County that is completely pirate themed. So being awesome like we are, we all jump in our cars and made the voyage to the great unknown to find out if this place was super lame or the coolest thing since string cheese. Turns out it was worth driving through a snow storm. We got to eat in a cave and play with balloon animals. The night then turned to a friend hitting Adam in the head with a DVD and a movie about a fish/chicken/human. I must say that is pretty much is the shiz when it comes to my life.

My friend Isabel had a baby shower. Being the infertile one there wasn't very awkward, but being the only non-family member there for the majority of the time was very awkward. The activity was to make a scrapbook page for mommy to fill full of baby pics. This chica does not scrapbook!!! Watching everyone else go at it, I was amazed to see all that goes into the art. My favorite quote came from an aunt. Isabel said she didn't know how to scrapbook and the aunt said, "You are going to have to learn. How else are you going to capture your memories?" I almost peed my pants. No offense my scrapbooker readers, I just thought it was such a funny thing to say.

The last story comes from my experience at church today. We were late because of a late night Saturday so we ended up sitting outside of the chapel. A lady came out and asked me if I could hold her baby while she went to the bathroom. I love babies so of course I said yes. She goes in the bathroom and Adam turns to me and says totally kidding, "Run!!!" I laughed and said, "The moral of the story is go to church, get a baby." If only it was that easy right?

That restaurant sounds AWESOME. What's it called?

I'm glad the shower went so well. You're much braver than I am for sure! I've been skipping out on showers left and right. (luckily most are on Saturday and I have to work every Saturday)

I love that your Hubby made the comment to run.

Hope you have a fabulous week!

It's called Pirate Island.

There are sometimes I can go to showers and other times I can't. I don't blame you at all for skipping out.

Yeah my husband's awesome.
