Court Update #1

I've been getting a ton of questions as to what's going on with our adoption. Well it turns out the court system isn't as quick and dirty as we all would like it to be.

• She filed February 18th a motion to set aside relinquishment of parental rights ...
• Two weeks later we filed memorandum in opposition to her argument
• She now has until March 23rd to respond to our memorandum
• During this time we may file a motion for summary judgment (this means a judge can throw out the case) depending on what our lawyers find to be the best course of action.
• Then we will petition for a court date for our oral argument.

so to sum it up... a ton of paper work and a whole lot of behind the scenes stuff. The process is very slow and very torturous. I cannot wait until it's over.

In the mean time it's nice to know the "Chinese" are on our side
