This small period of unemployment has given me a taste of what it is like to be a stay at home mom. It made me discover that I am in no way a domestic goddess. There are only so many places in the winter that you can take a two year old. That results in a lot of time spent at home. That may sound nice and relaxing but that only lasts a few days. Then everyday starts to blur together because you have absolutely nothing on your schedule. You quickly start to crave adult conversation so much so you tend to pin down the spouse the minute he gets home and force him to listen to the multiple ideas you had that day. You clean and you clean and you clean because the minute you turn your back, a two year old hurricane makes it's presence known. You act like a referee every five minutes: Don't squish Weezer. Don't draw on the floor or your face. Keep your clothes on. Don't pour your gold fish all over the couch. Don't hit, kick, or bite. I know you're Spiderman but you are too big to hang on the curtains. Like a virus you notice your frumpy vibe creeping in because who has time to shower, plus who are you going to see today anyway? I love you little man more than life itself but this mama bear needs to get out there and work to make our family run a little smoother as well as provide some financial stability for your future.
Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks:
In other news: I passed the worst test of my life and am now an official Licensed PTA!!!!
