Trying To Do Everything

Noah entering my life has made me realize how incredibly difficult it is to be a woman in this day and age, Not only are we expected to keep up with the laundry for the entire family, clean our homes until they sparkle, and have some mad cooking skills that were in some way uploaded into our brains when we weren't paying attention, but we are also supposed to bring home the bacon while wearing high heels and being skinny enough to blow away in the wind. Other talents that have to pad a woman's resume include being active in the most prestige church activities, be able to throw incredible kid parties, and the tolerance to not pass out in the process. I am quickly learning that I am not such a woman. I scramble to keep up with house work, keep my child/ husband/dogs happy and healthy, investigate adoption agencies, try to lose the weight I gained during school, and struggle to maintain a social life, all while trying to build up my new career. It is hard. I am exhausted all of the time. I have got to find a balance before I burn out.
