Building a house has truly become a nightmare. The house is done and ready for us to move in however we can't due to more stalling at the bank. We are freaking out because we were told our new closing date was going to be December 12th. This is a full month late but we can work with that. The big problem is that we had to give our apartment complex 30 days notice that we are moving day. Our last day here will be December 16th. Workable right? We close on the 12th and have a few days to move. Here's the problem, Adam called to bank to confirm everything so we can get the day off from work and our idiot mortgage lender told us we probably won't be able to close on the 12th because the USDA is still approving everything and she has no idea when she will hear back from them. We have to be out of our apartment by December 16th. So here we are looking at a possibly homeless Christmas. I have a toddler, 2 dogs, and 3 fish which make it difficult to squat at someones house plus I will have to pay an extra day for the moving truck because we will have to move twice as well as pay for a storage unit. I am freaking out. Why would our bank tell us a definite closing date if they couldn't guarantee it?
