Stomping Through The Mud

Well Christmas time has made it's 2012 depute though this year it seems to be out of sync.  We are stomping through rain puddles instead of catching snowflakes on our tongues.  We are camping out in our apartment waiting very impatiently to close on a house that we were supposed to close on the 12th of November.  I find it ridiculously frustrating that we are working with intellectually challenged "professionals".  Did I mention that the back of my house is two different colors because they "forgot" to order enough of the right color.  It looks pathetic.  They also haven't finished the exterior paint jobs and we are supposed to do our final walk through tomorrow.  Yes, I know it's been raining this week but why didn't you finish the exteriors before the interiors, It's December for heavens sake!!!!
We changed Daycare providers this week.  Our last one would leave Noah napping at her house while she walked to bus stop to pick up her kids and she spanked him on one occasion stating, "I know you don't spank but your child is out of control and he was terrorizing my 5 year old."  Now I'm not quite sure how a 3 year old can terrorize a 5 year old but that is beside the point.  The final straw occurred one afternoon when Noah bite her son.  Terrible I know but not out of character for a 3 year old.  We asked her what lead up to the fight and she said she didn't know because she was in the shower.  My brain said, "Hold up, I'm paying you to take a shower and leave my toddler unsupervised?"  I was so pissed.  So now we have a new at home mommy watching my son and from what I've seen so far she's perfect.  She does activities with him during the day to help learn his numbers and letters.  She teaches his to share and take turns as well as makes him healthy meals.  And get this, she says he has no behavioral issues and has yet needed to go to time out while at her house.  Oh and did I mention she lives a block from my new house.  I really home this works.
The election came and went last month.  I didn't say much about it because I was so busy.  I hope our president can put us on a incline when it comes to the economy and I also hope Obamacare doesn't screw me over professionally.  I guess we'll see.  I am kind of happy the Ken doll didn't win, him and his wife give me the heebeegeebeez.
This week as work has been an adventure.  It is almost like someone passed out the crazy pills.  50% of my patients have been confused, impulsive, and unsteady.  It's like walking Bambi when he's on the ice with him yelling at you to let go of him so he can talk to his dad (aka another patients visitor who has no idea who this patient is).  Yeah, I'm tired.
