The "Singles Awareness Day" Excuse

Every year I hear a lot of crap about how it sucks to be single on Valentines Day. This drives me crazy. I know it's rough but I hate watching people sit on there butts and then complain that the love of their life hasn't come to sweep them away. I know, who am I to talk? I have a man. Well getting that man wasn't easy. I have always had to be aggressive in the flirting game. Here's how I see it, if he doesn't like you then he's not worth it. Move on to someone better who does. The problem is you will never know until you go for it. Most of the married ladies I know went for their men. Why the lecture? You have 10 days until the day for all lovers. Don't complain later, Find A Date Now!!!!
And to all you married girls out there, don't expect your man to plan something out of this world. They are guys right? This stuff doesn't mean as much to them, so if you don't want to be disappointed plan a romantic night. You will get what you want and he will love it too. (don't forget the babysitter, there's still time!) I wish you all the best of luck in your love endeavors.
I want to give a shout out to my friend Rob who has been an awesome dating machine lately. Keep it up.

So with you on this issue. I don't even care if you have a date or not, please don't try to make me feel guilty for being in a committed relationship. My husband and I work hard at our relationship and always have (even in pre-dating mode), it's not a walk in the park.

I TOTALLY AGREE! I have always enjoyed Valentines day, from when I was young and single, up until I was 22 and single. Why does it have to be about "dating" someone? Cant you show love to other people besides someone your dating? Your family? friends? Helloooooooo! I have very strong feelings towards this also :D

I hear ya there... I have never been afraid to approach a guy- what's the point??? Nothing is going to happen if you don't make it happen, right???
