Let The Games Begin

The adoption process is hard.  Though not a surprise, it still sucks.  You bring your hopes up and then they get torn down over and over again.  The fees keep climbing.  I've started working an extra day every week to help out but it's nothing compared to the amount we need.  Asking for donations is hard because it's always awkward to ask for help but I just keep thinking about the baby out there who is in need of a stable home with a mommy, daddy, and an incredible big brother.  The help we need is not for us but for this little one.

Otherwise life is good.  The day to day comes with it's regular challenges.  Like always it's difficult to juggle work, playing with the little man, laundry, training for a half marathon, fundraising, and dating my husband.  The weather has finally warmed up getting rid of the winter blues.  Noah got in his first real fight.  He was out on a trampoline with 3 other brothers.  They were all being kind of rough from the beginning.  I decided to keep an eye on him but to also stand back because I want him to be a little tough.  Before I knew it, I looked out the window and saw the 3 brothers punching my kid.  Adam went running outside and by the time he got there Noah had climb on top of one of the kids and was hitting him. Though I don't like Noah getting into fights, it was nice to know that he can defend himself.  Adam put him in time out and then had to have a talk about why Noah was the only one to get in trouble.  The 3 brothers have parents that think it's funny when their kids punch each other out.  Not cool.
My beautiful niece, Tiffany left on her mission to Spokane, Washington.  Congrats girl, good luck and we love you.
